Engine Break-in Period
0 -90 miles (0 -145 kilometers)
S Do not operate the motorcycle for extended periods of time at throttle positions above 1/3 t hrottle. Vary the en-
gine speed of the motorcycle. Do not operate the motorcycle for extended periods of time at any one set throttle
position.
90 -300 miles (145 -483 kilometers)
S Do not operate the motorcycle for extended periods of time at throttle positions above 1/2 t hrottle. Vary the en-
gine speed of the motorcycle. Do not operate the motorcycle for extended periods of time at any one set throttle
position.
300 -500 miles (483 -800 kilometers)
S Do not operate the motorcycle for extended periods of time at throttle positions above 3/4 throttle.
At 500 miles (800 kilometers)
S Perform initial maintenance as described in t he Maintenance section of the Owner’s Manual. This maintenance is
one of the most important services your motorcycle requires and should be performed by an authorized VICTO-
RY dealer. Initial maintenance includes servicing all adjustments, tightening all fasteners, and changing engine
oil. Performing this m aintenance at the required mileage point helps the engine maintain top performance for its
entire service life.
